A Few Notes From The League

16 Jun 2021 by Dan Betzing

Good Morning Parents, Coaches and Players! There are just a few things that I would like to touch on as we hit the home stretch for the first season. In no particular order:

1.) We will be doing team photos this Saturday before the games. We were originally planning on doing them at the end of the season, but quite a few people will be missing, so this is our last solid opportunity.

2.) After the last regular season game (6/19), substitutions will not be allowed for the play offs. We’ve been trying to make sure everyone has enough players to skate an entire game this season by moving players around a bit, but we need to make sure that the playoffs are by the book to ensure everyone has a fair chance. Please do what you can to make the games.

3.) Many of you have asked about end of the season photobooks. I have been working on getting them together and should have a preview to show you in the next few days. Since I want to have playoff photos in the books as well, I wont be ordering the books until the season concludes. Each book will likely be 6×6 with 22 pages of color photos. The price will be around 30 dollars a book. I will post the ordering information with the preview as soon as I can get them done.

4.) Parking is becoming an issue for us. I understand that its a major inconvenience to park at the medical building instead of in the pool parking lot, and I apologize. I don’t necessarily agree with it either, however, it is a concession we had to make in order to keep our hosts (Fredericksburg Parks and Rec) happy. Please Please Please park at the medical building for the last few games. We will work out a better solution in the off season. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

5.) All of you have been great this season. I cannot thank you enough for your patience, conduct and willingness to work with us while we learned what works best. This has been a very cool experience and hopefully a premonition of better things on the horizon. So from all of us at FRYH, thank you! Lets finish strong and enjoy the summer.

Warmest Regards,

Dan Betzing
